A Huge Thank You To Everyone That Helped Me Along The Way!

• My mentor Dr. David Burger (DairyNZ lead scientist), who helped me get hold of eDNA water sampling kits for my pond. Also gave me a lot of extremely useful advice to do with my project and helped me brainstorm why there was no eel DNA on my eDNA samples!

• David Klee (Auckland/Waikato fish  and game CEO), who supplied me with the fyke nets and fish traps I used in my pond!

• Johan van Ras (DairyNZ environmental specialist), who shared so much of his knowledge on riparian and different types of freshwater species that help an ecosystem. He also helped me understand and interpret my eDNA sample results.

•  And of course, my parents! They supported me throughout the year and helped me get in contact with the people above!
